Flexibility training is no different
Let’s apply the tried-and-tested training methodologies from other areas to flexibility! We know that regular testing allows us to track our progress which is key to avoiding plateaus and maintaining psych—and this is precisely what the Flex Mat is designed to help you achieve. Use the built-in scales to measure your stretches and visibly track your progress over time.
2 Linear Scales & 2 Angle Finders
End Angle Finder: Use this to measure your pancake stretch. Sit on the end alignment marker with your legs in a straddle position and reach forward. Measure how far you can reach and the angle created by your legs.
Centre Angle Finder: Perfect for measuring your straddle or side/centre/middle split. Sit on the alignment marker, stretch, and measure the angle of your split.
End-to-End Linear Scale: Ideal for assessing your pike or front fold. Sit at the end of the mat on the alignment marker with your legs straight in front of you, fold in half, and reach forward. Measure the distance that your hands can reach.
Centre-Out Linear Scale: Use this to measure your horse squat, front splits, or side/centre/middle splits. Centre yourself on the mat using the alignment marker and begin to move your feet outwards. Measure the distance your feet have travelled from the center.
The alignment markers enhance repeatability, ensuring you perform the same stretch during each testing or training session.
Pair the Flex Mat with our Flex Block, our cork yoga block, to enable regressions or progressions of stretches, as well as, aid in measurements. Check out our Flex Master Bundle to save on both products.
Not just your regular yoga mat
Crafted from organic materials and laser engraved, our cork yoga mats offer a more eco-friendly alternative to plastic-based products. The soft cork surface is gentle on your skin, while the thick natural rubber base supports you in all stretches. With an extended length over 2 metres (6.56ft), the Flex Mat ensures that your entire body stays on the mat during front and side splits, or when lying down—unlike standard mats where your legs may extend beyond the edges. Together, these features create a durable, tear-resistant mat with natural antimicrobial and antifungal properties that remains grippy even during sweaty sessions.
